Saftey when hauling or towing is very important, and having quality tires on your trailer is essential. Not sure what size trailer tires you need?
Each tire has a set of numbers on it that offer a lot of information. See the images below for a brief description of what they all mean.
There is a Department of Transportation (DOT) Safety Code that appears on all tires. This assures that your tire complies with all DOT safety standards. After the letters “DOT” on your tire, is your tire’s ID number. It begins with the tire’s manufacturer and plant code. This code indicates where the tire was manufactured (two numbers or letters). The 9th and 10th number indicates the week the tire was manufactured, and the final number(s) indicates the year the tire was manufactured.
