Job Title:  Office Assistant/Bookkeeping/Receiving

Job Summary:  Keep records of transactions for establishment by performing the following duties:

  • Wear Appropriate Safety equipment as needed
  • Attend company related work and safety meetings
  • Assist other employees as directed by management
  • Immediately report any damage to station equipment or facilities and to correctly fill out incident report as needed
  • Follow all rules and regulations as spoken or written in any form by the management, i.e. employees handbook and any addendums issued or posted at any time
  • Maintain a good and positive attitude and the team concept at all times
  • Use the phone in a professional manner, always with the intention of creating a long-term relationship between the repair shop and the customer
  • To act in a professional manner suitable as to represent a quality organization with which you are employed, always and in every instance projecting an attitude of honesty and respectfulness.
  • Each employee must adhere to all OSHA safety rules and regulations as well as all flammable or hazardous material
  • Assist in all housekeeping functions as directed by management
  • Second or Third person to answer the phone
  • Alternate weeks to open office and filling the pop machine with other office assistant
  • Prepare Estimates when needed
  • Making Appointments via phone or in person
  • Waiting on customers- Communicate with technicians to get help for the customers
  • Call customers that need tires after reviewing the inspection sheets (4/32 or under)
  • Post payments
  • Work with management to ensure all customers have been called, keys are in the office
  • Receive in parts, enter data in computer and put parts on appropriate shelf
  • Call on parts that do not come in, check parts statuses including back orders
  • U Haul Reservations and Checkout
  • Tire Inventory and stock parts Inventory (With Corinne)
  • Pick up parts when needed
  • Offer customers the car care one credit card as financing
  • Explain to customers all promos and warranties
  • Put together statements if needed
  • Order parts for the technicians
  • Inventory- tracking, fixing, solving issues
  • Stock order at night
  • Returns
  • Warranty work
  • Put confidential docs in drop box files
  • Close shop office at 5 pm, make sure coffee is ready for next day, signs off, door locked.  Make sure someone can finish up with any off roads still there before leaving.
  • Help solve any problem even if it isn’t your area or error.
  • Post payments, collect from customers that have not been paying their accounts, off road, accident or are new customers
  • Other duties assigned

Job Title: Diesel Auto Technician

Job Summary: Repairs and overhauls automobiles, trucks, and other automotive vehicles by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all rules and regulations as spoken or written in any form by the management, i.e. employee’s handbook and any addendums issued to posted at any time
  • Maintain a positive attitude and the team concept at all times
  • Use the phone in a professional manner, always with the intention of creating a long-term relationship between the repair shop and the customer
  • To act in a professional manner suitable as to represent a quality organization with which you are employed, always and in every instance projecting an attitude of honesty and respectfulness.
  • Each employee must adhere to all OSHA safety rules and regulations as well as all city and county regulations regarding shop safety, fuel spill cleanup or other flammable or hazardous material
  • Attend and participate in all company related work and safety meetings
  • Wear appropriate safety equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a cost-conscious attitude toward all company spending.
  • Accomplish maintenance and organization by daily cleaner, putting away tools (shop and/or personal)
  • Examine vehicle. Discuss nature and extent of damage or malfunction with head tech, if needed.  Provide recommendations for repair, including parts list needed to perform recommend repairs.  Use the revisions tab to create the estimate for the customer.  Provide them with a list of other repairs they may need in the near future.  Get customer approval before repairing.  Use customers knowledge level when explaining issue.
  • Perform a preventive maintenance inspection on all oil changes (auto, light truck) Ensure all reports are complete and accurate.
  • Remove and replace parts as trained and/or shows in ProDemand.
  • Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters.
  • Diagnosis of vehicle or truck, complying with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
  • Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components.
  • Communicating with customer in laypersons terminology.
  • Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning and washing vehicle before returning it to customer.
  • ensure that all work is performed to proper specifications. Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
  • Inspect vehicle for cleanliness, mark RO complete, park vehicle in appropriate spot.
  • Maintains vehicle records by correctly and honestly recording all parts and labor on work orders.
  • Use labor time clock in tablet
  • Communicates with Service or Office Manager and front office. In person, status use, notes on RO’s.
  • Order Parts –only when service manager & office are busy
  • Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies via Corinne; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Contains costs by using warranty; minimal comebacks; evaluating service and parts options.
  • Keeps supplies ready by turning in low inventory slips, putting unused stock back in its appropriate spot and putting all parts to be returned on the proper shelf.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in weekly online classes, educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
  • Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by keep area clean daily and general shop cleaning.
  • Put away all tools, shop and personal.
  • Assist other employees as directed by management.
  • Immediately report any damage to equipment or facilities. Correctly fill out incident report as needed.
